Job Highlights
- Hired participants will be enrolled in a 15-week (3-4 month) nursing aide class Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at Tukiendorf Training Institute from February through June 2024
- On Wednesdays, participants will work in an entry-level role alongside Nursing Support Assistants at UChicago Medicine, supporting the non-clinical efforts of the floor staff
- Participants will be responsible for keeping up with hybrid learning with Tukiendorf Training Institute, fully paid for by Skills and UChicago Medicine
- Participants will attend biweekly, 30 minute mentoring sessions with Skills staff
Candidate Profile
- Candidates must be 18 years or older by January 1st, 2024
- Must be able to commute to clinical learning opportunities at the UChicago Medicine (Hyde Park) campus
- Must be able to attend 2-3 sessions at Tukiendorf Training Institute (North Lawndale) campus
- Candidates must be interested in learning while working in the healthcare field and clinical services (i.e working with bodily fluids)
