Edgar had a robust career where he built up a variety of skills that made him a qualified candidate for many jobs. Before contacting Skills, he worked as a commercial truck driver for many years, where he spent his time building up skills that would make him a good asset to any team, such as time management and interpersonal relationship-building.
After experiencing a layoff, Edgar had been looking for work for months and was not having any luck. One day he saw Skills for Chicagoland’s Future’s office in Englewood and decided to go inside. He had heard of us before and was hoping we could help him find a job.
With our team’s help, Edgar was able to find work with Ferrara as an Engrosser. We’re happy to report that he loves the work he does and is elated to be employed again. We spoke to Edgar about his thoughts on the hiring process and his overall experience working with Skills.
